Along with the One X+ announcement, HTC has also revealed
that it will start rolling out the Android 4.1 update for HTC One X and
One S smartphones this month. The update will also bring the new Sense version
Sense 4+ to the two smartphones.
HTC’s One X+ already runs on Jelly Bean and the latest Sense
version. According to HTC, the new Sense version brings noticeable changes
related to photography, like the Gallery app now acts as a hub for all photo
related apps. Company has introduced video hub, another benefit of Sense 4+,
for the first time you will be able to put all your video entertainment in a
single place.
Another new feature in the HTC Sense 4+ is HTC Get Started, a
new web service that guides the user painlessly through the set-up and
personalisation process from a desktop web browser. HTC is also
introducing a new Tap and Go function, which allows you to connect the phone
and your music to Beats speakers when you tap them. To disconnect, it is just
another quick tap.
HTC hopes to complete the update for One X and One S before the
end of this year. Both the smartphones are currently powered by Ice Cream
Sandwich.
